So if you’re tired of struggling to wake up in the morning, falling off your routines every other day, and constantly feeling groggy throughout the day, then you’re in the right place! All of that is about to change with a few adjustments to your daily habits.

The Power of a Routine

I had a streak where I’d go to bed at 2am after binge watching my favorite reality show and then wake up at 5am because I had to get ready for work.

I kept on this routine for months on end, thinking this method was feasible…after all – I did it when I was in college so no big deal, right?

Well, wrong.

I became so mentally and physically exhausted, had brain fog when I was at work, and easily forgetting my phone and keys all around the house.

I had enough and finally realized that this lifestyle was not sustainable for my future so I had to make a shift.

I finally adjusted my routine where I would make an effort to go to bed before midnight and get at least 6 hours of sleep per night.

This subtle change launched me into the next phase of my life where I would actually discover how to create a strong morning routine that worked for me and made me excited to start my day!

So here’s exactly what I learned and how to implement it for yourself. This is the step-by-step method I used to create a strong morning routine that has helped me wake up feeling rejuvenated, well-rested, and ready to take on the day.

If you’re ready to take the next step to give your morning the refresh it deserves - you’ll love my online self paced learning course that discusses ACTIONABLE steps to help you create your dream morning routine!

How to Create a Simple Morning Routine

Begin by choosing one or two actions that are so easy, you begin to do them on autopilot.

  1. Make sure that they first align with your personal or professional goals.

  2. From there, look for easy actions to complete such as taking a sip of water when you wake up or practicing gratitude by saying one thing you’re thankful for.

Doing these actions help provide stability in the morning and are so simple that they can be completed on autopilot – no need to constantly think about what you need to be doing next! Before you know it, you’re onto the next task and moving right along.

Habit Stacking

Habit stacking is when you take an already existing habit and pair it with a new one. When I wake up, I immediately go downstairs and make a cup of coffee. To habit stack, I’d make a cup of coffee and then open up my journal (which I placed next to the coffee maker the night before).

By doing this, I am already making my yummy cup of coffee but I am working on practicing gratitude simultaneously by opening up my journal to write down 1 thing I am grateful for.

Understanding habit stacking is a useful tool to help guide your day and simplifies the inevitable daily chaos!
